The Etiqueta Negra polo & sportswear brand takes its main inspiration from its passion for vintage racing cars and the sport of polo, and has organised a special date for lovers of vintage cars at the 7th edition of the “Bergamo Historic Gran Prix”, which will be held on 27th May around the old Venetian walls of Bergamo Alta. The circuit will follow a clockwise direction as it did in 1935 for the only edition of the “Wall Circuit” car race, which was won by the great champion Tazio Nuvolari.
The event will celebrate the 120 years since Nuvolari was born (1892-1953) and for the occasion Etiqueta Negra wants to pay a special tribute to the myth of the “flying Mantua man” with a limited edition of button-necked sweaters and t-shirts, which will be donated to the registered teams and worn by the event organisers.
The next important date with vintage cars is the Nuvolari 2012 Grand Prix, organised from 21st to 23rd September, where Etiqueta Negra will be taking part for the second year with its own team and as an official sponsor.
The brand’s tribute to the legendary Tazio Nuvolari is renewed every season with the capsule collections, which are dedicated to the great racing champion from Mantua and all his victories, like the Munich Grand Prix in 1932 and Donington in 1938, which the capsule collection for the autumn/winter 2012/13 collection is dedicated to.
Etiqueta Negra is already thinking ahead however to the spring/summer 2013 collection, which will be presented in June at Pitti Uomo, and which is dedicated to Nuvolari’s victory in Le Mans in 1933, to ensure that the legend of Tazio Nuvolari is also renewed with every passing season in pure Etiqueta Negra style.
